COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7, ARTICLE 4 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, BY ADDING SECTION 7-407 FLYING LANTERN -
TYPE DEVICES PROHIBITED; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE
SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BLAIR, NEBRASKA:
SECTION 1. Section 7-407 of the Municipal Code of the City of Blair, Nebraska is hereby
added as follows, to wit:
See. 7-407 FLYING LANTERN -TYPE DEVICES PROHIBITED Flying lantern -type
devices are prohibited from sales, possession and use in the City. For purposes of this section,
flying lantern -type devices means devices that require a flame which produces heated air trapped
in a balloon -type covering allowing the device to float in the air. Flying lantern -type devices
shall not include hot-air balloons used for transporting persons.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
