Dear Business Owner &Property Owner:
You are hereby notified that this property is in violation of Blair Municipal Code Sections
6-326.05 and 8-505 by allowing snow, sleet,mud or ice to accumulate and remain on the sidewalk
along and adjacent to the real estate referenced above,thereby allowing the sidewalk to be unsafe
and unsuitable for lawful travel thereon.
Please be advised if you fail or refuse to remove the snow, sleet, mud or ice from these
sidewalks within twenty-four(24)hours of date of delivery of this Notice,the City will cause
the same to be removed and the cost of removal shall immediately become due and payable,
jointly and severally from the property owners and adult occupants of the above-described
real estate. If you fail or refuse to pay the costs thereof,the City will levy the fee against the
property in the form of special assessments. In addition to the removal fee, a $50
administrative fee will be also added to the special assessment.
In addition, failure to comply with this notice may subject you to criminal citation or prosecution
as a Class III misdemeanor pursuant to Blair Municipal Code Sections 6-401 through 6-403 and
8-701 through 8-703.
Please understand this is a one-time courtesy letter. Future violations this winter of the above
regulations will not require written notice prior to the City hiring a contractor to eliminate the
violation and bill the property owners accordingly.
This property will be re-inspected on Jan. 15, 2016, for compliance.
