COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, Section 5-404 of the municipal Code of the City of Blair provides that the
governing body may by resolution prohibit or regulate parking on designated streets or parts of
streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, that parking is prohibited on the west side of 23rd
Street 170 feet south from the railroad track and 170 feet north from the railroad track to the
Nebraska Street intersection in the City of Blair, and that the Street Department of the City of
Blair is hereby authorized and directed to place signs reflecting the no parking area as
established hereby at necessary intervals along said restricted parking areas.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that following the passage of this Resolution it shall be
unlawful for any person to fail, neglect, or refuse to comply with said parking restriction.
COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER HALL. UPON
ROLL CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS STEWART, WILLIS, HANSEN, WOLFF, JENSEN,
HALL AND ANDERSEN VOTING "AYE", AND COUNCIL MEMBERS NONE VOTING
"NAY", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED AND
ADOPTED THIS 27TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2015.
