RogerPetersensmotiontoapprovetheminutesoftheJuly10meetingwasseconded
by Steve Tonn and carried.
Approval of Bills
There were no bills needing approval.
Old Business
Reviewofpossibleparkimprovements.PatLongdiscussedseveralmattersconcerning
parkimprovements.HereportedthatthesidewalkatLionsParkhadbeencompleted,
thatworkonthesidewalkleadingtotheshelteratBlackElk-NeihardtParkwasnexton
thelist,andthatagrantapplicationwasbeingmadetotheBlairCommunityFoundation
for11newtrashcansfortheparks.HealsodiscussedagrantapplicationtoRetree
NebraskaandreportedthatFriendsoftheArboretumhadcompletedmappingtreesat
RhoadesandLionsParks.PattoldBoardmembersthatmanytreeshadbeenlost,
especiallyatRhoadesandOptimistsParks,duringthestraight-windstorminearly
August.
New Business
Discussionof2014preliminaryplaygroundideasPatreportedthatcityadministrators
areworkingonaMasterPlanforthecityparks,thatmoneyforthetenniscourtshas
beenappropriated,andthatthebathroomdoorsatBlackElk-Neihardt,Lions,
Stemmerman, Lions, and the RV parks need to be replaced.

TheParkBoardslastmeetingoftheyearwillbeonWednesday,November13;thefirst
meeting in 2014 will be on the second Wednesday of February.

Roger Petersens motion to adjourn was seconded by Steve Tonn and carried.
