Dear Property Owner:
This is a courtesy letter to notify you that we have received a complaint regarding tall weeds and grass on your
property located at the above address. This is a violation of the following municipal codes:
Five (5) days after receipt of this notice, the above property will be re- inspected to assure the violation
has been corrected. If, following the inspection, the violation still exists, the City will hire a contractor
to eliminate the violation on the property. Any such costs for the removal of any weeds, grasses or
worthless vegetation shall immediately become due and payable, jointly and severally from the
property owners and adult occupants of the above - described real estate. If you fail or refuse to pay the
costs thereof, the City will levy the fee against your property in the form of special assessments.
Within five days after receipt of this notice, the owner or occupant may request a hearing with the city to appeal
the decision to abate or remove this nuisance by filing a written appeal with the office of the City Clerk at 218
S. 16 St., Blair, NE 68008.
In addition, failure to comply with this notice may subject you to criminal prosecution pursuant to City of Blair
Municipal Code Section 4 -601 through 4 -603, by either a citation or a Class III misdemeanor.
