This is a courtesy letter to notify you that we have received a complaint regarding tall weeds and
vegetation and grass clipping left on sidewalk and on the street at your property located at the
above address. Please review the enclosed photos. This is a violation of the following municipal
codes:

Code Description
04 -506 NUISANCES; WEEDS, GRASSES, AND WORTHLESS VEGETATION; LITTER. In
addition to the definitions as provided in Sections 4 -501 to 4 -505 inclusive, a nuisance
is hereby declared to be and defined as permitting, allowing, or maintaining any
growth of twelve inches or more in height of weeds, grasses, or worthless vegetation,
or to litter or cause litter to be deposited or remain on any premises in the municipality
except in proper receptacles. (this clogs the city's drainage system — Jeff Beiermann).
04 -506 For the purposes of this section, litter shall include but not be limited to: (i) trash,
(1) rubbish, refuse, garbage, paper, rags, and ashes; (ii) wood, plaster, cement, brick, or
stone building rubble; (iii) grass, leaves, and worthless vegetation (iv) offal and dead
animals; and (v) any machine or machines, vehicle or vehicles, or parts of a machine
or vehicle.
Three (3) days after receipt of this "courtesy" notice, the above property will be inspected to
assure the violation has been corrected / removed. If, following the inspection, it is determined
that the violation still exists, you will receive a formal notice to correct / remove the violation
within five (5) days of the date of the formal notice as per city code. If an extension is needed for
additional time to comply with this request, please contact City Hall at (402) 426- 4191.
