Dear Property Owner:

This is a courtesy letter to notify you that we have received a complaint regarding grass clippings
left on the sidewalks on your property located at the above address (please review photos). This is
a violation of the following municipal codes:
Code Description
04 -506 NUISANCES; WEEDS, GRASSES, AND WORTHLESS VEGETATION; LITTER.
In addition to the definitions as provided in Sections 4 -501 to 4 -505 inclusive, a
nuisance is hereby declared to be and defined as permitting, allowing, or
maintaining any growth of twelve inches or more in height of weeds, grasses, or
worthless vegetation, or to litter or cause litter to be deposited or remain on any
premises in the municipality except in proper receptacles.
04-506(l) For the purposes of this section, litter shall include but not be limited to: (i) trash,
rubbish, refuse, garbage, paper, rags, and ashes; (ii) wood, plaster, cement,
brick, or stone building rubble; (iii) grass, leaves, and worthless vegetation (iv)
offal and dead animals; and (v) any machine or machines, vehicle or vehicles, or
parts of a machine or vehicle.
Please make sure you, or the person(s) and /or company responsible for mowing, keep all
sidewalks and gutters free from grass clippings. Please clear the sidewalks of grass clippings
as- soon -as- possible. If you have any questions, please contact me at (402) 426 -6688.
