June 10, 2015
Vice Chairperson Jeene Hobbs called the meeting to order. Present were Roger Petersen, Ardee
Pounds, Jeene Hobbs, vice chairperson, Steve Tonn, secretary and Pat Long, Parks Dept.
Superintendent.
The May meeting minutes were corrected to include the words the train play equipment was
included in the bids for Lions Park.
No bills were presented for payment.
Old Business
Pat Long reported that one tree is left to plant at Optimist Park plus 6 trees at Black Elk Neihardt
Park. Jeene Hobbs asked about plaques at the parks for tree donors. No action is planned.
Pat Long will write up specifications for bids moving the Rhoades Park playground and
equipment to be presented to the City Council for approval. This must be presented to the
Council because of the total dollars to be spent. He will write a separate specification for the
FEMA playground equipment to be placed in Rhoades Park. Pat will notify the Blair Park Board
when the items will be on the City Council agenda.
New Business
The Park Board continued discussion on the Lions Park improvements. They also discussed the
2016 budget.
Roger Petersen moved the meeting be adjourned. Ardee Pounds seconded the motion. Motion
carried. Meeting adjourned.
