RE: Swimming Pool Compliance Notice for 1629 Grant St
Dear Property Owner:
On June 24, 2015 a compliance pool inspection determined the swimming pool on the above
described property was in violation of the City of Blair Municipal Code nuisance regulations.
The following nuisance violations were found concerning your gates, which are not tall enough:
Code Description
04-507(2) The top of the barrier shall be at least 48 inches above grade measured on the
side of the barrier which faces away from the swimming pool. The maximum
vertical clearance between grade and the bottom of the barrier shall be 2 inches
measured on the side of the barrier which faces away from the swimming pool.
Where the top of the pool structure is above grade, such as an above - ground
pool, the barrier may be at ground level, such as the pool structure, or mounted
on top of the pool structure. Where the barrier is mounted on top of the pool
structure, the maximum vertical clearance between the top of the pool structure
and the bottom of the barrier shall be 4 inches.

Because of these violations of the City of Blair Municipal Code, you must, on or before July 8,
2015, correct the nuisance violations listed above or remove the swimming pool.
You may check with the City of Blair code compliance department at 402.426.6688 regarding
any questions.
A $100 citation (ticket) may be issued and this matter may be turned over to the city attorney if
you have not corrected the nuisance violations listed above or contacted Blair City Hall to agree
to permanently install required safety features.
