This is a violation of the following municipal codes: Code Description 04 -501 NUISANCES, GENERALLY DEFINED. A nuisance consists in doing any unlawful act, or omitting to perform a duty, or suffering or permitting any condition or thing to be or j exist, which act, omission, condition or thing either: 1) Injures or endangers the comfort, repose, health or safety of others. 2) Offends decency. 3) Is offensive to the senses. 4) Unlawfully interferes with, obstructs, tends to obstruct or renders dangerous for passage any stream, public park, parkway, square, street, or highway in the Municipality. 5) In any way renders other persons insecure in life or the use of property, or 6) Essentially interferes with the comfortable enjoyment of life and property, or tends to depreciate the value of the property of others. 06 -333 MISDEMEANORS; JUNK ACCUMULATIONS. It shall be unlawful for any property owner or lessee to allow an accumulation of junk on property that is located within the corporate limits to the extent that such accumulation is a potential hazard to the health and safety of the residents of the Municipality. Junk shall mean old scrap, copper, brass, iron, steel, rope, rags, batteries, paper, trash, rubber debris, waste, motor vehicles or recreational equipment of any kind including, but not limited to, motorcycles, all terrain vehicles, automobiles, trucks, boats and trailers which are dismantled, unlicensed or unregistered in violation of Chapter 60, Article 3 R.R.S. Nebraska (as amended from time to time), abandoned, inoperable, or wrecked automobiles, or parts thereof, wood, limbs, vegetation, and other old or scrap ferrous or nonferrous material. Three (3) days after receipt of this "courtesy" notice, the above property will be inspected to assure the violation has been corrected / removed. If, following the inspection, it is determined that the violation still exists, you will receive a formal notice to correct / remove the violation within five (5) days of the date of the formal notice as per city code. If an extension is needed for additional time to comply with this request, please contact City Hall at (402) 426 -4191.
