AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1102 OF THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, SPECIFICALLY PROVIDING THAT
NO COMPONENT OF A FRONT YARD FENCE SHALL EXCEED FOUR (4) FEET IN
HEIGHT, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE
AND EFFECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BLAIR, NEBRASKA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 1102(2) of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Blair, Nebraska, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(2) No fence erected in a required front yard shall materially
obstruct public view. Permitted types of fences shall include
split rail, chain link, or other similar material. No component
of a front yard fence shall exceed four (4) feet in height, nor
shall any structural member exceed thirty-six (36) inches in
area, as measured using the horizontal cross section."
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and following the
passage and publication hereof as required by law.

NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Blair Planning Commission will hold a
public hearing on Tuesday, February 3, 1998, at 7:00 p.m. in the Blair City
Council Chambers, 218 S. 16th St., Blair to consider an Ordinance amending
the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Blair, Nebraska, by
amending Section 1102 Fences, Walls and Hedges increasing the maximum
height of a front yard fence from 3 Yin height to 4' in height. The Mayor and
City Council will also hear a separate public hearing on this Ordinance on
Tuesday, February 10, 1998, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the City Council
Chambers. All interested parties will be given the opportunity to be heard.
