2007-32RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - 32 COUNCILMEMBER SCHEVE INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION: BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Blair, Nebraska, that an amendment to the "Rules and Regulations" at the Blair Cemetery shall be and are hereby amended as follows effective immediately, to -wit: Article 4 — Care of the Cemetery 5. Flowers (silk, plastic or real) along with any other type of decoration are not permitted on lots or grave spaces from April 1 through November 1, except five (5) days before Memorial Day to seven (7) days after, unless contained in a permanent type of container approved by these rules. From April 1 through November 1 all other decorations or mementoes must be attached to the headstone or firmly sitting completely on the headstone base. Glass items of any kind are not allowed. The Cemetery and its employees are not responsible for any items that have been moved, damaged or lost during this time, either in the performance of their duties or by other third parties. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be in full force effect upon its adoption and publication as provided by law. COUNCILMEMBER ABBOTT MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER FANOELE. UPON ROLL CALL, COUNCILMEMBERS SCHEVE, SHOTWELL, STEWART, FANOELE, CHRISTIANSEN, WOLFF, ABBOTT AND BIFFAR VOTING "AYE ", AND COUNCILMEMBERS NONE VOTING "NAY ", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 8TH DAY OF MAY, 2007.
