SUBJECT: Address Markings — See Municipal Code 8 -306 Marking Premises

Section 8 -306 of the Municipal Code states that any principal building in
the City is required to have installed and maintained a proper number in a
conspicuous place as near as possible to the main entrance of the building
so that it is plainly visible from the street at least 4" inches in height. The
code also requires an address be displayed on any building structure that
contains occupancy for multiple parties and is served by separate or
individual exterior doors.
It has been brought to our attention, that your business does not have an
address displayed on your main entrance that is clearly visible from the
street. Please install an address marker within the next (15) days as we
will recheck your establishment to make sure you are in compliance with
Municipal Code.
This address marker is for life safety reasons for the citizens of Blair that
occupy these types of structures in the event an E911 call is made to the
property. A first responder needs to be able to quickly determine the
location needing assistance in a multiple unit facility.
We appreciate your efforts in complying with this life safety issue. If you
