RE: Sidewalk Waiver
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Hansen,
In review of our requirements for a new residence being constructed on Lot 8, Ridgeview
Estates, it allowed us to look at other lots along Adams Street, which previously had homes
constructed on them.
We require all lots that abut city right of way to install sidewalks in conjunction with the
construction of a residence. However, there are certain areas that we have allowed
homeowners or contractors to apply for a sidewalk waiver which allows a waiver for the
sidewalk to be constructed at the time of initial construction. It appears that at the time of the
construction of your residence on Lot 4, Ridgeview Estates by Building Permit #7148 and
completed on December 11, 1996, we did not obtain a sidewalk waiver from you for your rear
property line along Adams Street.
Enclosed you will find a sidewalk waiver for your signature. You will note that this agreement is
not a permanent waiver but allows for a sidewalk to not be constructed in this area until such
time a sidewalk improvement district is created by the City of Blair.
Please return the signed sidewalk waiver to me at your earliest convenience. We appreciate
your cooperation in complying with this request. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
