.) Request from Tim Nietfeld - granted at the July 1, 1990 Board meeting.
This request was granted as there are no sidewalks along Road 422
west of Highway 30. They were inside city limits since they were residing
on the north side of that road. A bus passed their residence daily which
was a factor in the Board's decision.
5.) Request from Alice Klein - granted at the July 19, 1990 meeting. This
was granted since there are no sidewalks along Highway 91.
6.) Request from Jason and Kelly Hall -who lived on Highway 75 South near
the Masonic Temple -due to no sidewalks. This was denied on August
12 1991 due to traffic concerns for buses in that area.
7.) Merry O'Malley -who lived east of Woodhouse Ford off Highway 30 -
denied at the August 29, 1994 Board meeting due to nowhere to turn a
bus around without going onto Highway 30.
In our discussion concerning the possible annexation of property, you requested
information and the procedures necessary to be granted an exception to the Board
Policy. -Anyone interested in requesting an exception must do so in a written statement
explaining details and rationale to the Board of Education of the Blair School District.
This request will then be presented by the school administration to the Board of
Education and acted upon when the appropriate information has been presented. I
would suggest contacting Mark Dickinson, Transportation Director of the School
District, for any additional information.
I am always available if you have further questions and desire any further
information.
