Blair hereby agrees to sell any interest the City of Blair may have in the real estate described
hereinabove for the sum of $1.00 to Ryans. Further, the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of
Blair, Nebraska are hereby authorized and directed to make all notifications required under Neb.
Rev. Stat. §16 -202, et.seq., including but not limited to notice of the sale and the terms thereof,
and, if after the required remonstrance period has lapsed and City has not received a
remonstrance against such sale signed by registered voters of the City equal in number to Thirty
Percent (30 %) of the registered voters voting at the last regular municipal election held therein,
then, the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute and deliver any and all documents,
deeds or other instruments necessary to effectuate such conveyance of real estate.
SECTION 3. Further, all quit claims deeds shall include a covenant that this real estate
described above in this ordinance shall be appended to the adjacent real estate owned by the
Ryans known as Lot 6, Bel -Air Addition to the City of Blair, Washington County, and the above
described real estate and adjacent real estate owned by the Ryans shall not be transferred and
assigned except in a simultaneous transaction to the same grantee or grantees, and said covenant
shall run with the land.
SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and following the
passage and publication hereof as required by law and this ordinance shall be published in
pamphlet form and shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage as provided by law.

Re: Deed of the portion of Veterans Park to R.J. Ryan
Gentlemen:
Please be advised that I have been asked by Hain -Flynn Post, No. 154 of
the American Legion in Blair, Nebraska to prepare the necessary documents to
convey a portion of the Veterans Park at Vets Field in Blair to R.J. Ryan and his
wife. This is an area in the extreme Southwest corner of the park which has been
under a lease to R.J. Ryan for the last few years. He is interested in not only in
enlarging the size of his lot, but also in erecting a fence around this area.
It it is my understanding that this area of the park has never been used by
any of the baseball facilities of as a parking area or for any other purpose.
Although there is a written agreement between the City of Blair, and the
American Legion Post that this area belongs to the American Legion Post and can
be conveyed by them, it is my opinion in order to convey clear title Mr. & Mrs.
Ryan there should be a deed from both Hain -Flynn Post, No. 154 of the American
Legion and the City of Blair. As a result we are requesting a Resolution allowing
the City to convey any interest they may have in this property to Mr. & Mrs. Ryan
and the American Legion Post will also convey any interest they may have in that
property.
A proposed deed is attached to this letter. If there are any questions, please
do not hesitate to contact me.
