Because of zoning requirements, a portion of the driveway will be constructed with concrete measuring 45'x18' to accommodate five vehicles. The remainder of the driveway will be crushed rock. The City of Blair, NE requires that storm water runoff from the 100 year storm event on a developed condition must not exceed the historic condition. The drainage analysis for both the existing and proposed site conditions was completed using the Win TR -55 Small Watershed Hydrology program developed by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Output data includes storm water runoff for the 5 -yr, 10 -yr, 25- yr, 50 -yr, and 100 -yr storm events. Retention area analysis was completed using the Win TR -20 modeling software developed by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). EXISTING SITE CONDITIONS Area Al = 0.66 acres Paved Area = 0.00 acres Gravel Area = 0.07 acres Lawn/Grassed Area = 0.45 acres Woods /Grass Combination = 0.14 Q100 = 2.57 cfs PROPOSED SITE CONDITIONS Total Area = 0.66 acres Paved Area = 0.11 acres Lawn/Grassed Area = 0.44 acres Gravel = 0.11 Q100 = 3.40 cfs www.ci The difference between the existing site condition and the proposed site condition is 0.83 cfs for the 100 yr storm event. Very little retention is going to be required onsite to store the additional runoff from the 100 year storm event. The attached grading plan shows the proposed ditches and culvert pipes required for a release rate of 2.0 cfs, which is slightly less than the historic condition of 2.57 cfs.
