Grit Screen Improvements Building Permit
Dear Mr. Wolfe:
The attached drawings show foundation and structural plans for a grit screen process area addition in the
Wastewater Treatment Facility at Cargill in Blair, Nebraska. The screens are used to filter untreated
industrial wastewater. The structure will consist of a 3 level steel frame with concrete floor, a steel bar
grated mezzanine on the mid- level, and elevated upper slab and will not be enclosed. The space will be
used to house process equipment, and will be unoccupied except for periodic equipment inspection and
maintenance. No hazardous or flammable materials will be present in this space, which we feel qualifies it

The same set of drawings is being sent to the state fire marshal's office for their review, and electrical
permits will be handled by a selected contractor at a later date.
