2007-23AFTER THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE WAS READ, COUNCILMEMBER ABBOTT
OFFERED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION AND MOVED ITS ADOPTION:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BLAIR,
NEBRASKA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Ordinance for the creation of Storm Water Sewer District No. 1 be proposed
for consideration as read.
2. That a hearing on the proposed Ordinance for construction of a storm sewer in Storm
Water Sewer District No. 1 shall be held on the 24 day of April, 2007, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in
the City of Blair, Nebraska, at City Hall, and that the notice of the time and place for such
hearing shall be given by at least two publications in the Blair Telegraph, a legal newspaper
published in the City of Blair, which notice shall contain the entire wording of the proposed
Ordinance. The last publication of such notice shall be not less than five days nor more than two
weeks prior to the time set for hearing on objections to the passage of such Ordinance and at said
hearing, objections shall be heard to the proposed improvements. After said hearing, the
Ordinance may be amended and passed or passed as proposed.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION HAVING BEEN READ IN ITS ENTIRETY,
COUNCILMEMBER ABBOTT SECONDED THE MOTION FOR ITS PASSAGE AND
ADOPTION. AFTER CONSIDERATION THE ROLL WAS CALLED AND THE
FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE IN FAVOR OF THE PASSAGE AND ADOPTION OF
SAID RESOLUTION: STEWART, SCHEVE, SHOTWELL, ABBOTT, WOLFF, BIFFAR,
FANOELE AND CHRISTINANSEN. THE FOLLOWING VOTED AGAINST THE SAME:
NONE. THE PASSAGE OF SAID RESOLUTION HAVING BEEN CONSENTED TO BY
MORE THAN A MAJORITY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL, THE MAYOR
DECLARED THE RESOLUTION PASSED AND ADOPTED. ON MOTION DULY MADE
AND SECONDED, THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED.
