COUNCILMEMBER FANOELE INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council may by Resolution from time to time as
necessary set and establish fees for various applications, permits and licenses; and,
WHEREAS, on September 26, 2006 by Resolution No. 2006 -41 a Permit, License and
Application Fees was appended to the Municipal Code; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Permit, License and Application Fees appended
to the Municipal Code which was adopted by Resolution No. 2006 -41 in reference to the
calculations of permits for accessory structures and interior remodels.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, the following amendment below is hereby set and
established to amend the Permit, License and Application Fees which is appended to the
Municipal Code.
RESIDENTIAL — ADDITIONS / REMODELS and COMMERCIAL — NEW
CONSTRUCTION / ADDITIONS / REMODELS:
Business /Industrial/Educational /Assembly /Factory /Storage/Utility
*Porches with roofs /screened patios are considered additions
Construction Valuation will be computed by Sp/ft area X $60.
Accessory BuildinEs & Interior Remodeling Proiects will be computed by Sq /ft area X $40.
Permit fee is:
$0 TO $49 $0 (plus Permit Issuance Fee)
$50 TO $9,999 $50
$10,000 TO $99,999 $50 + $6 per additional $1,000
$100,000 TO $249,999 $590 + $4 per additional $1,000
$250,000 TO $499,999 $1,190 + $3 per additional $1,000
$500,000 TO $999,999 $1,940 + $2 per additional $1,000
$1,000,000 AND OVER $2,940 + $1 per additional $1,000
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the fees as specified and set forth herein shall become
effective upon the adoption of this resolution as provided by law.
COUNCILMEMBER ABBOTT MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BY ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER FANOELE.
UPON ROLL CALL, COUNCILMEMBER STEWART, SCHEVE, SHOTWELL, FANOELE,
ABBOTT, WOLFF, BIFFAR AND MCMANIGAL VOTING "AYE" AND
COUNCILMEMBER NONE VOTING "NAY ", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE
FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 14TH DAY OF NOVEMBER,
2006.
