WHEREAS, that three dedication plats establishing the street dedicated to public use
recorded as follows:
Dedication Plat dated September 11, 1979, recorded October 30, 1979 in Plat Book 2,
Pages, 287 -288,
THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, that the street dedicated in aforementioned plats is to be
known as 13 Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF BLAIR,
NEBRASKA, is hereby authorized to file this Resolution clarifying the name of this dedication with
the County Clerk on behalf of the City of Blair, Nebraska.
COUNCIL MEMBER ABBOTT MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS READ,
WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF. UPON ROLL
CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS STEWART, SCHEVE, SHOTWELL, FANOELE, MCMANIGAL,
ABBOTT, WOLFF AND BIFFAR VOTING "AYE" AND COUNCIL MEMBERS NONE

Concerning the ordinance that we discussed today and the letter and copies of the dedication
plats that I provided to you please be advised of the following. The three dedication plats
establishing the street dedicated to public use were recorded as follows:
I believe that if you refer to those three dedication plats in your ordinance and come up with
some language stating that the street dedicated in aforementioned plats is to be known as 13
Avenue that would fix the situation. I don't know if you want to mention in the ordinance that
said street was inadvertently sometimes referred to as 14 Avenue or not. I'll leave that up to
you. If you have any other questions concerning this matter please do not hesitate to contact me.

Dear Brenda:
Enclosed are copies of the dedication plats for the street of 13 or 14 Ave. We discussed this
matter briefly about a week ago. As you know there is a discrepancy on whether the street is
designated as 13 or 14 Ave. Please note that the first 2 dedication plat's show the street right
of way to be dedicated, but do not show what number the street is to be called. The 3`
dedication plat recorded July 1984 in Record Book 144, Pages 140 -141 show the southern
portion of the street and shows the street as 14 Ave. Out of this portion of the street, is the land
that was vacated by the City of Blair, to be deeded to Les Johnsen. The ordinance refers to it as
13 Ave. I have discussed this matter with Dick Hansen, County Surveyor, and we both feel that
in order to clear up this matter, that the City Council should pass an ordinance stating that the
street is designated to be 13 Ave. If you have any further questions concerning this matter

AN.ORDINANCE ESTA$LISHING STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO.. 142
IN THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, DESIGNATING THE PURPOSE OF .SAID
DISTRICT, DEFINING THE LIMITS AND BOUNDARIES OF SAID DISTRICT,
PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER OF PAYMENT OF THE :STREET IMPROVEMENTS
THEREIN, AND PROVIDING WHEN SAID ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY qv
BLAIR, NEBRASKA:
Section 1. A petition . signed by the owners of more
than three- fourths of the lots of land abutting upon the streets
to be improved as hereinafter set forth, petitioning for the
improvement of the following described streets in the City of
Bair, Nebraska: In Thirteenth Avenue from the intersection with
Wilbur Street South to a point 350 feet'S'outh of the South right-
of-way line of Wilbur Street, in the City of Blair, Washington
County, Nebraska, by paving the same, said petition therefor
having been presented and filed with the City Clerk, there is
hereby Street Improvement District No 142 of the City of
Blair, Washington County, Nebraska.
SECTION 2. The street improvements to be made on said
streets i'n said district shall be to pave the same, the grade of
said streets to conform to the grades as established by the
City of Blair and. said improvements to be made according to plans
and specifications and estimate of cost to be prepared by the
Special Engineer for said district and to be.filed with the City
Clerk and to be approved by the Mayor and City Council of said
City.
SECTION 3. The property included in said Street Im-
proirement District No. 142 and subject to special assessments to
SECTION 4. The cost of said improvements in said
improvement district shall be paid out of the fund created by
the levy and assessments on the lots'and parcels, of land .in
said Street Improvement District benefited thereby in proporation
to, said benefits, all as by the Statutes of the State of Nebraska
in such cases made and provided.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in,
force from and after its passage, approvaIl and publication as
provided by law.
