COUNCIL MEMBER FANOELE INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BLAIR, NEBRASKA, as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and Council hereby find and determine that by ordinance
adopted on May 9, 2006, the 13th day of June, 2006, at 7:00 o'clock p.m. in the Blair
City Council Chambers, was set as the time and place to conduct a hearing with respect
to the issuance of the City's general obligation Flood Control Bonds in an amount not to
exceed $165,000 pursuant to Sections 16 -6,106 to 16- 6,109, R.R.S. Neb. 1997; that
notice of such hearing has been published as required by law and all persons desiring to
be heard with respect to the issuance of said bonds have been heard.
Section 2. The Mayor and Council hereby further find and determine that the
City is authorized to proceed with construction, issuance of warrants and the issuance of
the City's general obligation Flood Control Bonds in an amount not to exceed $165,000,
(with such bonds to be issued in accordance with an ordinance duly passed and approved
by the Mayor and Council).
COUNCIL MEMBER ABBOTT MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED
AS READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER
BIFFAR. UPON ROLL CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS VOTING "AYE" STEWART,
SCHEVE, SHOTWELL, FANOELE, ABBOTT, BIFFAR AND WOLFF AND
COUNCIL MEMBERS NONE VOTING "NAY ", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE
FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 13TH DAY OF JUNE,
2006.
