AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9 -108 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY
OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, PROVIDING FOR BUILDING INSPECTOR; PERMIT DURATION;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE
AND EFFECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BLAIR, NEBRASKA:
SECTION 1. Section 9 -108 of the Municipal Code of the City of Blair, Nebraska is hereby
amended in its entirety as follows, to wit:
Sec. 9 -108 BUILDING INSPECTOR; PERMIT DURATION. Any building permit under
which no construction work has been commenced within six (6) months after the date of issue of
said permit or under which the proposed construction has not been completed within two (2) years
of the date of issue shall expire automatically and no work or operation shall take place under such
permit after such expiration. Permit renewals are for one (1) year, with a maximum of two (2)
renewals for a maximum permit span of four (4) years. The permit renewal fee is based on the
amount of the original permit fee. Renewals will only be allowed with the stipulation that all exterior
site work and outside finish work is completed and interior life - safety issues have been properly
addressed.
Original permit fee of $0- $50,000 $100.00
Original permit fee of $50,000 — $100,000 $150.00
Original permit fee of $100,000 — $500,000 $250.00
Original permit fee of $500,000 or more $400.00
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
