2081ORDINANCE NO. 2081 COUNCIL MEMBER ABBOTT INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE: AN ORDINANCE CREATING STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 188 IN THE CITY OF BLAIR, WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEBRASKA, DESCRIBING SAID STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AND IMPROVEMENTS TO BE CONSTRUCTED THEREIN, AND PROVIDING THAT SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS MAY BE LEVIED IN PROPORTION TO BENEFITS TO THE PROPERTY IN SAID DISTRICT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BLAIR,NEBRASKA: Section 1. Pursuant to Sections 16 -617, 16- 617.01, 16 -618, 16 -619 and 16 -620, R.R.S. Neb. 1997, Street Improvement District No. 188 be and the same is hereby created within the City of Blair, Nebraska, the outer boundaries of which District shall be the same as the boundaries which surround all of the following- described contiguous properties together with the streets described below upon which said properties abut: Lots 1 -31 of Southern Ridge subdivision. Tax Lot 42 of Section 23, Township 18 North, Range 11 East of the 6th P.M. Tax Lot 47 of Section 27, Township 18 North, Range 11 East of the 6th P.M. Tax Lot 46 of Section 27, Township 18 North, Range 11 East of the 6th P.M. Within said District, the streets to be improved and improvements to be included are: Ravae Lane from County Road 26 to County Road 31, consisting of 25 feet wide (from back of curb to back of curb) of 7 inch thick Portland cement concrete, including storm sewer. Sunridge Circle from Ravae Lane west to end of cul -de -sac approximately 300 feet, consisting of 25 feet wide (from back of curb to back of curb), including a 50 degree radius paved cul -de -sac, of 7 inch thick Portland cement concrete, including storm sewer. County Road 26 from Highway 30 west approx. 1270 feet, consisting of 24 feet wide (from edge of pavement to edge of pavement) of 6 inch Asphaltic cement concrete. County Road 31 from County Road 26 north approx. 460 feet, consisting of 24 feet wide (from edge of pavement to edge of pavement) of 6 inch Asphaltic cement concrete. Section 2. The improvements to be constructed in Street Improvement District No. 188 shall include grading, paving, curbing, guttering, storm sewer improvements and other necessary or incidental appurtenances to the improvements. Section 3. All of said improvements shall be constructed to the established grades as fixed by ordinance of said City and shall be constructed in accordance with plans and specifications made by HGM Associates, employed by the City, to be approved by the City Council. Said improvements in Street Improvement District No. 188 shall be made at public cost, and the cost of such improvements, excepting street intersections, shall be assessed against the property within said District specially benefited thereby, in proportion to such benefits. Section 4. That this ordinance shall be known as Ordinance No. 2081 and shall be in effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
