Discussion of new shelter at Lions Park. Members discussed replacing the deteriorating picnic shelter at
the southeast comer of Lions Park with a larger one. It was recommended that the shelter also have one or
two electric outlets.
Discussion of tipi shelter at Black Elk Neihardt Park A general discussion about a tipi shelter focused
on its location and appearance, with a reference to the shelter at Blackbird Hill south of Macy.
Playground equipment at Stever Park. Before the official start of the meeting, those present talked about
replacing the old horse swing at Steyer Park, and the suggestion was made that it be auctioned off next
summer at the annual Jazz in the Park.
Location of park directional sign on South Highway 30. Members agreed that the present location of the
directional sign for Steyer Park on the east side of South Highway 30 is confusing. They recommended
that it be moved to more accurately indicate the correct turnoff to the park.

Wednesday, February 14, in the City Hall Conference Room.
Kathy Kuster moved to adjourn, and Jim Peterson seconded her motion. The motion was carried.
