I have reviewed the submitted plans and structural analysis report with our building inspector. Since the plans do not require any structural changes to the monopole or either of the existing equipment shelters, no building permit is required from the City of Blair. The work is non - structural and relates to cellular equipment only, which we consider to be maintenance work. The Nebraska State Electrical Board may have different requirements and standards regarding when they require an electrical permit. Make sure you check with them to verify whether you need a permit from their office. Pending the response from the Nebraska State Electrical Board, you need nothing more from the City of Blair prior to proceeding with the proposed U.S. Cellular LTE upgrade.
