Dear Sirs,
Enclosed is Floodplain Permit 2012 -03 for the 432 SF expansion of the office building. As indicated
in the permit, since the expansion project is not a substantial improvement to the facility, the facility
does not need to be elevated to one foot above the base flood elevation of 1008.
Please note that the approved plans indicate, as required by Section G1001.6 of the 2009
International Building Code, that all mechanical, plumbing and electrical equipment and systems be
elevated to or above the design flood elevation. According to the Flood Insurance Rate Map issued
on January 6, 2012, the base flood elevation in this area is 1008 MSL. The submitted existing site
plan indicates the ground level to be approximately 1006 MSL.
Please ensure that all mechanical, plumbing and electrical equipment and systems are elevated to at
least 1008 MSL. This requirement will be verified by our Building Inspector during his various
inspections.
If you have any further questions, please contact me at 402 - 426 -4191.
Sincerely,
?w (5 mv
Phil Green
