2012-30RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -30
COUNCILMEMBER STEWART INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, Section 5 -217 of the Municipal Code of the City of Blair, provides that the
governing body may by resolution provide for the placing of stop signs or other signs for the
purpose of stopping or regulating traffic on any street or alley within the Municipality's
jurisdiction.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BLAIR, NEBRASKA, that a stop sign shall be placed at the intersection of Anderson Street and
30 Street for the purpose of directing traffic on Anderson Street to stop at 30 Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, that following the passage and publication of this resolution it
shall be unlawful for any person to fail, neglect or refuse to comply with any such stop sign.
COUNCIL MEMBER KEPHART MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER SHEPARD.
UPON ROLL CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS SHEPARD, STEWART, RYAN, KEPHART,
HALL, WOLFF AND JENSEN VOTING "AYE" AND COUNCIL MEMBERS NONE
VOTING "NAY ", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED
AND APPROVED THIS 25TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 2012.
