Jerry,
The revised design and size for the awning has been approved.
I showed your anchor information to our building inspector and he would like the following additional
information:
1. A detail of the existing brick wall and what is behind the exterior brick. If the brick is only superficial, it
will not have sufficient bearing capacity.
2. More specifics regarding the lag shields (are these expansion sleeves ?) and the length and grade of the
lab bolts. Also, please provide the manufacturers specifications for proper installation in the type of wall
described in #1.
3. The awning frame anchors should be mounted according to the following:
a. The outside anchors no more than 6" from the edge.
b. All interior anchors a maximum of 24" apart on the top and 36" apart on the bottom.
c. How is the awning frame physically attached to the tube brackets?
