09-13-2006Blair Park Board Meeting September 13, 2006 Roll Call The Blair Park Board met at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, in the City Hall Conference Room. Members present: Neil Jensen, president; Kathy Kuster, vice president; Ann George, secretary; Roger Petersen, Ardee Pounds. Blair Parks Department: Pat Long. Not present: Jim Peterson. Reading and Approval of August 9, 2006, Minutes Ardee Pounds's motion to approve the minutes of the August 9 meeting was seconded by Roger Petersen and carried. Approval of Bills Pat Long presented a bill totaling $3,979.38 for paving two parking areas and creating two sidewalks — one to a shelter, the other to the playground -- at Lions Park. Roger Petersen's motion to approve the bill was seconded by Kathy Kuster and carried. Old Business Directionalfftnare for narks. Several members noted that the State Roads Department had put up the directional signs to city parks. New Business Letter of skfonofor troll extension to Optimists Park. Board members signed the letter that had been drafted by Ann Jeorge, Board secretary. Pat Long will submit it after obtaining Jim Peterson's signature. Park descriptions for Website. Ann George said that she had given Brenda Wheeler, the city clerk, a computer disc with the text as well as a hard copy of the descriptions. Three questions remained to be answered, but Pat can give that information directly to Brenda. Ann said that she had added tennis and horseshoes to the list of recreational facilities. Imnrovements to rtpdestals with mosaics at Black Elk- Neihardt Park. Pat said that the pedestals along the trail will be maintained with a coating and sealing process. Roger Petersen moved to adjourn, and Kathy Kuster seconded his motion. The motion was carried. Members adjourned to tour California Bend. Respectfully submitted, Ann George, Secretary
