Dear Mr. & Mrs. Hartvigsen,
Per our recent phone conversation, you had indicated to me you were going to
demolish /remove the residential structure damaged by fire on the property referenced above.

In order to proceed, you must contact our office to apply for a $50.00 demo permit, which
requires you to provide proof that all taxes are paid and proof that there is no current
insurance on the property. We will also require the name of the contractor doing the work and
the water and sewer must be securely capped by a licensed plumber and inspected by our City
Building Inspector.
Once the demo permit is obtained, you can proceed to remove the structure. If the structure is
not removed by October 1, 2012, or other arrangements made with us by that date, we will
turn the issue over to the city attorney for condemnation,
