RE: Soil Compaction Testing for House at 414 Baronage Drive
Dear Mr. Johnsen,
On May 29, 2012, the City of Blair issued your company building permit number RN- 2012 -00211
to construct a new house at 414 Baronage Drive for Mike and Deb Henricks. Since then, it has come
to our attention that the soil on this lot was not compacted when it was originally placed on the lot.
Therefore, the soils may not be sufficient to support the footings for the house as they are currently
planned.
Because the information we have regarding the soils on this lot are very limited, the City of Blair is
recommending additional soil testing to ensure that the soils are sufficient to support the planned
footings. One copy of the results should be sent to the city hall address listed below, Attn: Howard
Wolfe.
The City of Blair will not require additional soil testing. If you decide to not proceed with additional
soil testing, please sign and date this letter below, have the Henricks' sign and date this letter, and
then return the signed copy to city hall. The City of Blair will then file the signed letter with the
Washington County Register of Deeds office regarding this property to ensure that all future owners
are aware of this decision.
