Howard,
I discussed the situation with Rod and Brenda. Here is what we will require:
1. No permit for 1061 Grant Street and the contaminated soil on Black Hills Energy property. Brenda -
please email your contact person and ask for an email report of what was done once the project is
complete for our records. We should then scan and attach that to the property in BluePrince.
2. Have Brandy create an SI project and permit for the foundation removal at 352 S 11 Street. There is no
charge for the permit, but I would like the following information / inspections before we finalize the
permit /project:
a. An "Other" inspection by Howard once the stem walls and foundation have been removed,
showing that no part of the foundation system remains. Any ground work done previously must
be removed too.
b. A final inspection by Howard once everything has been filled in and regular turf grass planted, or
sod has been laid. We will not finalize the permit until the grass is actually growing and the sod
has been watered sufficiently to not die.
c. Howard — we also need a letter from the contractor verifying that he removed all parts of the
foundation and ground work and that the fill was compacted to 95% or better. We do not need a
compaction test.
Anyone think of anything else?

Phil: The Contractor wants to know if he needs a permit for the above work? Do we need any documentation of the
work? I will make sure he is filling the dig back up with clean soil and inform him to keep the dirt off the City Streets,
sidewalks, and adjacent property.
