The Blair Park Board met at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, in Steyer Park. Members present. Neil
Jensen, president; Kathy Kuster, vice president; Jim Peterson, Ardee Pounds, and Roger Petersen.
Blair Parks Department: Pat Long. Not present: Ann George.
Reading and Approval of March 8, 2006 Minutes
Kathy Kuster's motion to approve the minutes of the March 8 meeting was seconded by Ardee Pounds
and carried.
Approval of Bills
There were no bills needing approval.
Old Business

Black Elk - Neihardt gas line project. City will buy trees from Heritage Nursery following sign off.
Lions and Steyer Parks sidewalks. City studying placement of the sidewalks and the linking of
Rhoades and Steyer Parks.
Arbor Day Observance. The planting of three magnolias by South School second graders was
scheduled for an Arbor Day observance on Thursday, April 27, beginning at 1:30 p.m. in Steyer Park.

Directional signs. Phil Green is working with the state in determining locations of new directional
park signs.
Tree City Award. The city of Blair received an acceptance letter from the Nebraska Forester's
Department for a Tree City Award for the third straight year.
Members agreed to meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at City Hall and then, weather permitting, to
go to Black Elk - Neihardt Park. Ardee Pound's motion to adjourn was seconded by Jim Peterson and
carried.
