Roll Call
The Blair Park Board met on Wednesday, June 8, at 7:00 p.m. at Optimists Park. Members present: Neil Jensen,
president; Kathy Kuster, vice president; Ann George, secretary; Jim Peterson, Ardee Pounds. Blair Parks
Department: Pat Long. Not present: Donna Mahlendorf.
Members held a brief meeting after a tour of California Bend.
Reading and Approval of Minutes
Jim Peterson's motion to approve the minutes of the May 11, 2005, meeting was seconded Kathy Kuster and
carried.
New Business
California Bend Jim Peterson made a motion that the Park Board approve the plans shown and discussed by
Pat Long to open California Bend to the public for hiking, fishing, and picnicking, but that the area should be
kept in its natural state and closed to motor vehicles. His motion was seconded by Ardee Pounds and carried.
Pat Long said that there will be a public meeting at City Hall he evening of June 27 to discuss plans for California
Bend.
Jim Peterson's motion to adjourn was seconded by Kathy Kuster and carried.
The Park Board will meet on July 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Black Elk - Neihardt Park.
