Highway 75 Blair, NE 68008 RE: Rental property at 1538 Grant Street Dear Mr. Tabor and Ms. Hunt, As property owners of the above property, we would like to inform you the city has experienced municipal code violations with the current tenants regarding parking in the city's parking lot. The current tenants have allowed cars to be parked in the lot for extended periods without moving as well as several unlicensed /inoperable vehicles. They were issued tickets and the City Attorney has visited with them to resolve the current issues and hopefully prevent any further violations. This letter serves as a reminder to you the Landlord that allowing your tenants to park in the city's parking lot is a courtesy and not this property's guaranteed required off street parking spaces. Therefore, when renting this house please be advised that tenants should understand the regulations for parking on city property. We have enclosed municipal code outlining the regulations for parking on city property. It would be helpful if you could include this as part of your rental agreement. If tenants are unable to comply with the parking regulations, it may be beneficial for you to provide off street parking for this house in front of your property as opposed to encouraging parking in the city's lot. However, unlicensed and /or inoperable vehicles are a violation of municipal code on private property as well, and it is ultimately the responsibility of the property owner to ensure no municipal code violations exist on rental property.
