COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE:
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING AND EXTENDING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF BLAIR TO INCLUDE REAL ESTATE GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS TAX LOT
142 INSECTION 14, TOWNSHIP 18, RANGE 11, EAST OF THE 6 TH P.M. IN WASHINGTON
COUNTY, NEBRASKA; PROVIDING FOR ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH TO BE REPEALED AND PROVIDING THAT
SAID ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FOLLOWING PASSAGE
AND PUBLICATION AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, that parcel of real estate described above is adjacent and contiguous to the
current municipal corporate boundary and is urban or suburban in character, and
WHEREAS, Said real estate will receive material benefits and advantages from annexation
into the corporate limits of the City of Blair, and
WHEREAS, the owner has filed a letter requesting the property be annexed into the City of
Blair, and
WHEREAS, Nebraska statues allow City's of the First Class to annex property without the
development of an annexation plan if the property owner requests annexation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA:
SECTION 1. That the real estate hereinafter described be, and the same is hereby annexed
and included within the corporate limits of the City of Blair, Nebraska, and said real estate and the
persons thereon shall hereafter be subject to all of the rules, regulations, ordinances, taxes and all
other burdens and benefits of other persons and territory included within the corporate limits of the
City of Blair, Nebraska:
That the tract of real estate described as Tax Lot 142 in Section 14, Township 18, Range
11, Blair, Washington County, Nebraska.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
