Subject: Goodwill Stores Sturm Water Management Plan
Mr. Jaeger,
I have completed my review of your storm water management plan for the proposed Goodwill Store in Blair, Nebraska
and have the following comments.
Please submit product information about the drainage storage system that you are proposing to utilize for this project.
Please include manufactures contact information with the submittal.
Your plan proposes to tie into the existing storm sewer system located in U.S. Highway 30/75 directly south of the
property. I must require that a permit from the Nebraska Department of Roads be issued for the proposed connection
to the existing storm sewer system in U.S. Highxvays30/75 as the storm sewer system is owned by the Nebraska
Department ofRoads and not the City ofBlair. During the development of the 13 m and Front Streets by the City ofBlair
in 2008 the city also had to obtain a permit from the Nebraska Department of Roads for the storm sewer system we
developed with the construction uf those two streets. | will warn you up front you may run into challenges inobtaining
this permit from the Nebraska Department ofRoads. VVe struggled in obtaining our permit for our work.
We must also require a traffic control plan for the work being proposed in U.S. Highways 30/75 to make sure it complies
with the MUTDC and the Nebraska Department of Roads policies for lane closures.
Unfortunately I cannot approve your plan until the Nebraska Department of Roads permit is issued for the design you
have proposed. Once the permit is obtained please submit a copy of the permit to my attention for our files. Once we
receive e copy ofthe permit, traffic control plan and I have a chance to review the manufactures information on the
storage system you are proposing I should be able to approve your drainage plan.
