I will coordinate with the tenant and architect to get the issues pertaining to the general building permit resolved as soon as possible so we can submit a final plan. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions. Thank you. I 1. Show on the plans the ventilation occupant load. Show cfm's of outside air per occupant per space or room as per chapter 12 -IBC 09'. (deferred to mechanical engineer's application) 2. Show on the plans manufacturer details of a type one kitchen hood and fire suppression system. Show makeup air requirements. (deferred to mechanical engineer's application) 3. Show manufacturers details for the steel framing for construction that supports the kitchen hood. Show scaled dimensioned drawings of the supporting construction and attachments. (deferred to structural engineer's application — will be completed prior to any sheetrock is installed, and will be designed to fall within the width of a standard metal stud framed wall.) 4. Provide the manufacturers grease interceptor specifications. Show size of the unit. (deferred to mechanical engineer's application) 5. Is the water heater gas or electric? — Gas water heater 6. Are new hvac units being installed on the roof? NO new HVAC units. However there will be a make -up air unit for the kitchen hood, which will be addressed on the mechanical engineer's application. If so, show stamped engineered calculations and details for the supporting construction. Show location on the roof. Show manufacturers listing and specifications. Will they be gas or electric? 7. Please indicate tenant address will be shown on the front of the building. Does this require elevations to be created, or can we specify in writing? 8. Will there be a hard ceiling or suspended ceiling installed? The dining area will be exposed to structure. The office and kitchen will have suspend ceilings, and the bathrooms will have a hard ceiling. 9. Show maximum occupant load posted as per Section 1004.3. 10. Provide manufacturers installation instructions at the site for all kitchen cooking equipment. (deferred to mechanical engineer's application) 11. Show typical wall construction details for new interior wall. Will provide. 12. Show dimensioned larger scaled drawings of the rest rooms. Will provide. 13. Provide fire sprinkler plans and a permit application. Will be provided by fire sprinkler contractor (presumably Continental Fire Sprinkler). Will this require a fire alarm system, or can it be a stand alone sprinkler system? 14. Provide Mechanical and plumbing permit applications. — upon completion of the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical design. 15. Provide sign permit and plans. Show attachment method to building. (to be provided by the signage contractor. 16. Contact State Fire Marshal and State Electrical Inspector for requirements. per the state requirements, these will be submitted with the state. Does Blair NOT conduct its own electrical permitting? 1
