Thompson 2058 US Hwy 75 Omaha NE 68152 Re: BC South Acres Lot 5 Dear Mr. Thompson: On or about August 10, 2011 you received a courtesy letter notifying you that a complaint had been filed regarding violation of city code on your property, followed by a mowing sign posted on the above property. We appreciate what you have done to resolve this matter so far. However, the violation has not been completely corrected. The violation is for a Nuisance of Weeds, Grasses, and Worthless Vegetation. Along with the mowing, which you have already completed, trimming must be done and maintained around fences, utility boxes, and poles also. Please see enclosed photos. According to the City Code, you must correct the violation within 5 days of the receipt of this letter or the City will hire a contractor to eliminate the violation on the property. Any such costs for the removal of weeds, grasses or worthless vegetation shall immediately become due and payable, jointly and severally from the property owners and adult occupants of the above - described real estate. If you fail or refuse to pay costs thereof, the City will levy the fee against your property in the form of special assessments. In addition, failure to comply with this notice may subject you to criminal prosecution pursuant to City of Blair, Municipal Code Section 4 -602, which upon conviction thereof will subject you to a fine of up to $200.00. The owner of each lot abutting a street or highway within the City limits is responsible for maintaining the space between the property line and the curb or edge of the pavement free and clear of noxious weeds and debris and to keep the grass mowed shorter than 12 inches. Therefore, we are requesting that you spray for noxious weeds, mow the area 12" back from the curb and maintain the grass shorter than 12 inches. Please be advised if you fail or refuse to properly mow and maintain the property within five (5) days of date of delivery of this Notice, the City will hire a contractor to eliminate the violation on the property. Any such costs for the removal of any weeds, grasses or worthless vegetation shall immediately become due and payable, jointly and severally from the property owners and adult occupants of the above - described real estate. If you fail or refuse to pay the costs thereof, the City will levy the fee against your property in the form of special assessments.
