RE: Business sign located along highway right of way on your property
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Henton,
It has been brought to our attention that you have placed a billboard sign advertising your
business Henton Trenching at the above location without a building permit. Also, the sign does
not comply with the City of Blair's Zoning Ordinance regarding signs.
Enclosed please find a copy of the sign regulations governing property in the AGG (General
Agricultural District). This type of sign not only requires a building permit from the City of Blair
but also must comply with the sign regulations for AGG district. A ground or wall sign located
on a nonresidential premise may only announce the business or activity being conducted on the
premise, shall not exceed thirty -two square feet in area, and ground signs shall not exceed eight
(8) feet in height. Pole signs are not allowed in AGG.
Therefore, we ask that you please remove this sign no later than Friday, March 4, 2011. Once
this sign is removed, you may apply to the City of Blair for a building permit to construct an
authorized sign.
