RE: Final Inspection Requirements

These details are a follow up to our telephone conversation from earlier this week.
1. In light of our discussions and subsequent review of the limited items you will
occasionally cook on the stove, and because of the installation of a fire suppression
system for the stove, the City has approved the use of the vented microwave exhaust as
an approved alternate to a Type 1 hood. The following must also be done:
a. The microwave must be properly exhausted outside the building.
b. The fan and /or entire microwave must be wired to automatically shut off if the
fire suppression system is activated.
c. A non - combustible shield must be installed behind the stove.

2. The City will grant temporary occupancy and allow 30 days for the following items to be
corrected:
a. The guard rail on the rear deck must be raised to 42" from the deck.
b. Approved handrails must be installed on both sides of the stairs for the rear deck.
c. Approved handrails must be installed on both sides of the ADA ramp at the front
entrance.
All items on this list must pass inspection by the building inspector.
