I had also requested a copy of the Soils Investigation report. Please send. Section 1701 of The International Building
Code requires the Special Inspector to be employed by the owner, design professional, or the owners agent, not the
contractor.
You may proceed, when you are ready, with the earthwork and piles at your own risk. The soils report and calc's. Will be
needed to continue the plan review process. We will need the permit issued before any more construction takes place.

Statement of Special Inspections
Contractor: Gethmann Construction
Project: dock at the Missouri River
Location: 550 Marina Dr, Blair
We recognize that it is a city of Blair requirement to have special inspection performed for such things as pile driving and
deep foundations.
Gethmann Construction has contracted, through Novozymes, for Terracon to 1.observe pile driving
2.inspect reinforcing steel
3.sample structural concrete
We have requested for Zachry Engineering to send us the structural calculations and will forward the information as
soon as it is received.
When will we be able to proceed with respect to the city permit?
