In addition you need to have a minimum amount of cover over the culvert to help spread the load from the driveway. This depth will vary depending on the materials you use such as concrete verses PVC verses metal. You should check with the sales staff of the distributor for the culvert you purchase on the minimum depth of cover over the culvert from the bottom of the driveway. Hopefully this help. In regard to the culvert, do you have a minimum width for the culvert? I believe the driveway will be approximately 14' in width. i Thank you, Ted Scott Medallion Custom Homes, Inc. 2935 Pine Lake Road Suite A Lincoln, NE 68516 402 - 202 -2482 402 - 423 -2029 Fax tedQmedallioncustom homes. com i 1 i Brandy Petersen From: Allen Schoemaker Sent: Tuesday, August 31, 2010 4:19 PM To: 'Ted Scott' Cc: Brandy Petersen; Howard Wolfe; Phil Green (Blair, NE) Subject: RE: 2232 Clark Street, Lot 1 BC Southfork Addition Attachments: 20100831155214432. pdf Ted, First of all sorry for the delay in my response but it has been very hectic lately in my office. I have attached a copy of the utility map with our aerial photo of 2232 Clark Street showing the approx. location of the 6 inch water main and 8 inch sanitary sewer main. You will need to plan on a street cut for the sanitary sewer connection and possibly a street cut for the water main connection. The water main does move to the north side of Clark Street in this area but 1 am not sure it clears the existing paving before it clears the lot. The policy of the city for tapping sanitary sewer mains is to use a hole saw to cut the main for the service. As for the water main tap you will be required to excavate the water main and provide a corporation for the tap. City utility crews will perform the actual taps. The fees for these taps are $35 for the sanitary sewer, $150 for a %" water tap or $200 for a 1" water tap and $6 per square foot for utility cut(s), we require j the utility patch to be put back with Portland cement concrete and the patch needs to be 1 foot wider than the excavation. There will be other permit fees that you will want to check with the building permit office for but these will be the fees encountered for the utilities for the proposed house. As for the culvert for the driveway we will require a minimum of a 36 inch culvert as this is the same size as the discharge pipe from the street just west of 2232 Clark Street. Hopefully this addresses your questions, but if you need anything else please let us know. The driveway will enter off of Clark Street approximately 50' west of the existing gravel 'road' leading to the other property to the north. When we put in this new driveway we will be crossing a creek that runs through the property, what requirements do we need to meet in terms of culvert size, permits, etc? Also, can you tell me where the public water and waste water connections will need to be made for this property 1 look forward to hearing from you soon. 1 Thank you, Ted Scott Medallion Custom Homes, Inc. 2035 Pine Lake Road Suite Lincoln, NEO851G 402-202-2482 402-423-2029 Fax 2 ry i s f f a r 912 - x e 1 s «r k a y
