On October 29, 2009, City of Blair building inspector Howard Wolfe granted you "conditional occupancy" pending a successful electrical final inspection and the electrical inspector's approval of occupancy. ti On November 16, 2009, Washington County electrical inspector Kris Robinson failed an electrical inspection. Since that time several attempts have been made to schedule a follow up electrical inspection, all to no avail. • Section R105.4 of the 2006 International Residential Code, which the City of Blair has adopted, says in part, "The building official is also authorized to prevent occupancy or use of a structure in violation of this code or of any other ordinance of this jurisdiction." Therefore, because of the safety hazard caused by occupying a structure which has not received a successful final electrical inspection, you are hereby informed that if you do not request and pass a final electrical inspection by the end of business on July 23, 2010, the City of Blair building inspector will place a "DO NOT ENTER - UNSAFE STRUCTURE" notice on your residence. We will also work with Washington County Sheriff's office and Blair City Attorney to enforce this order. I trust that you understand how important it is that this final electrical inspection occur quickly. Please call Blair City Hall at 426 -4191 when you are ready to schedule the inspection. Sincerely, Phil Green Assistant City Administrator Cc: Geoff Hall, City Attorney Brenda Wheeler, City Clerk CITY OF I3LMQ 218 South 16th Street • Blair, Nebraska 68008 • 402 - 426 -4191 • Fax 402 - 426 -4195 • E-mail cltyofblair @ci.blair.ne,us ooPawrxr
