Re: Donald & Karen Roach @ 10642 Co Rd 29 42
To whom it may concern,
p.1
This letter is in regards to the electrical for the premises known as 10642 Co Rd 29.
Precision Lighting & Electric was contacted by Elkhorn Home Improvement to complete an
addition for Donald and Karen Roach. The original proposal, an addition, where as we were to
tie branch circuits to the existing service. We completed the rough on the electrical but could
gain no entrance to the house. As we pushed for entrance Jack Bennett informed us that Donald
did not want anyone in the house. The problems continued from there and after many
conversations between all parties we decided a new underground exterior electrical service
would be the way to go. This was not quoted in the original proposal and was agreed that extra
cost would be incurred. Precision finished the electrical for the addition and noted to the
inspector what we were going to do with the service. Precision then billed out for the addition
and never received payment from Jack Bennett. He was contacted at 2 months past due and
said, "I know I owe the money and the late fees and will get it to you within 2 weeks." Two
weeks came and went along with months and Tack could never be reached again. We never
went back to the job until I was contacted by Don Roach at the beginning of July. I met with
Don and received his side of the story and do believe that he paid Jack in full. We agreed later,
to finish the project at Don's expense. Note: Once Don agreed to let us and the inspector into
his home. Jack Bennett still holds an outstanding balance of $4,486.65 with Precision and
cannot be reached. The City of Blair (Brandy & Brenda) I appreciate the help with getting this
issue resolved. Although I don't believe we will ever see a payment from Jack Bennett, getting
this project finished and the Roach Residence up to code will be a good accomplishment. I also
believe with a little conversation between all parties we can educate Donald on the importance
of what we are trying to accomplish and having licensed trades that pull permits do his work.
Thanks,
