10-06-1988Blair Park Board Meeting October 6, 1988 • The meting was called to order by Fr sei::ent Marilyn Gentry. 4embers present were, Steyer, Hohensee, Wilson, Gentry and Solomon. :.bsent: Sick. Also present were Doug Leillock and Dele Stricklett. Minutes of the September 1, minutes were read and approved. Old Business: Tables have been branded as requested. Doug Bullock presented a nap of Blair showing trees that have been removed from Ciy t property. The latest up date is August of 1988. The goal in tree planting is a minimum of 20 trees for 1989. An extensive discussion wa.. held concerning Elide lines but no program as yet. Walter Huber and Ralph Steyer will select roses to be planted in the rose garden. Help in maintainance of the Pose GaIden will be available next year, Judy Sick reported to Marilyn Gantry that the Lion's Club is interested in helping with play ground equipment for Lion's Park. She also reported that the large cross canno* be placed on city property. Marilyn G: nt y reported that a spiral slide would cost about 4000. It was decided to wait until spring for a park board picnic. New Business: Lou ::uliock presented a proposed plan for future ball and soccer fields east and northeast of Sten eerr.an lark. ')ale Stricklett reperted tha Cork Hayes said it wild cost $175 to repair the Park Office eir conditioner. Dale also reportere, that cue to less time needed in mowing, more play ground equipment and clean up in any areas was accom~ plished.
