04-06-198840 Park Board meting .april 6 1988 meeting was called to order by i "Varilyn Gentry. Members preztent we Ralph Steyer, Roger honensee, George Wilson, Marilyn Gentry and Judy Sick. Netwere absent was Gene Solomon. Also present was Ely Churchich. kinutes of the lAarch 3, meeting were read and approved. Steyer reported that '8.75 had been spent from the aboretuin gund leaving a balance of 41278.40 as of April 1. kresident Gentry read a letter from the Nebraska Games and Park Commission in which we were notified that our reouest for funds for the Nongame Wild- life C000erative Conservation Program wt., turned down. Lly Churchich presented several brochures chowinv nark equipirent. kfter much discussion Judy Sick moved that the park board purchase two swinging benches at 760.00 each and eight 8 picnic tables at 441/0 4,201.25 each. l'e)tion was seconoed by hoger ilohensee. Motion carried. When the new tables come in and are placed in the parka it is hoped that there be some publicity about tables being left in the parks. Judy reported tnat tcouts are looking for projects. Judy will contact Gary 'iieeka who who will, hopefully, contact Da hunt or Craig Hanson about scouts working on trik fitness trail in the pa...ek.
