Gene Solomon and George Wilson were appointed to audit the Blair Arboretum at the January meeting. Bob Leonard reported on information concerning a possible site for an RV Park. The Army Corps of Engineers has made a study of locations and for the present time have designated five areas for possible development on the Missouri River. Two of these areas are Boyer Chute near Fort Calhoun and California Bend in 411p orttern Washington County. The Natural Resources have also been involved in the s tudy. Mick Mines told Bob that the Chamber of Commerce would be doing the leg work and seeking fume's for development of an RV Park. Judy Sick will be composing a letter for review by the board to be sent to the NRD in regard to the RV Park. New Business: The remainder of the meeting was spent in discussing a five year plan. Dale Stricklett will take care of that portion of the budget dealing with maintainance, employees and equipment. Ralph Steyer will take care of the Blair Arboretum portion. The following list is the recommendation of the board. Of high priority is concern for the present Park Office. We propose that the building formerly occupied by the Chamber of Commerce be shared as a Park Office and information office by the City of Blair. That a door be added to the rear of the building so the public can have access to the rest rooms with- out going through the office area. It is ale° proposed that the present Park office either be demolished or moved out to make room for new Steyer Park rest rooms and additional storage space for storage of maintainance equipment. Folds would have to come from capital outlay. Costs cannot be estimated by us at the present time but would need input from Warren Whitaker. 41k There is apparently great interest in an RV Park. Any proposal would ave the support of the Chamber of Commerce and hopefully funds would come from the Army Corps of Engineers. • • New Business Continued: Playa ground equipment , etc. would include the following: 6 eight foot picnic tables per year for five years at a cost of $225.00 per table or $6750.00 over five years. 2 grills per year at $95.00 per grill or $950.00 over five years. 1 spiral slide (14 ft) at a cost of $2500.00 (From capital Outlay) 2 glider swings at a cost of $400.00 each or $00.00 3 Park benche at a cost of $225.00 or $675.00 over five years. 3 Whirls at 41150.00 each or $3450.00 over five years. 3 spring toys at$200.00 each or 600.00 over fivejears. 2 climbers at $907.00 each or $2721.00 over five years.
