12-06-1990• • • MINUTES OF THE BLAIR PARK BOARD MEETING DECEMBER 6, 1990 The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by George Wilson. Also present were Gene Solomon, Roger Hohensee, Marilyn Gentry, Greg Drew, Bob Leonard, and Ralph Steyer. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. It was moved by Gregory P. Drew and seconded by Gene Solomon that the City Council post signs in the parks prohibiting dogs running at large, and that a similar notice be published in the Enterprise once in the Spring. The motion was passed unanimously. Discussion was had regarding the development of a brochure which includes a suggested walking trail through Steyer Park. The matter was tabled until the scale drawing map is completed. It was moved by Gene Solomon and seconded by Roger Hohensee that four 8 ft. picnic tables similar to last year's design be purchased. The motion passed unanimously. Bob Leonard was appointed to handle corporate memberships in the State Arboretum. It was moved by Marilyn Gentry and seconded by Roger Hohensee to authorize Ralph Steyer to pay a $50.00 membership to Nebraska Statewide Arboretum. Gene Solomon moved that $10.00 be given to the National Arbor Day Foundation. The motion was seconded by Roger Hohensee and carried unanimously. It was moved by Marilyn Gentry and seconded by Bob Leonard that we purchase 50 Australian Pine, Yugoslavian seed source, from the State through the Clark McNary Program and also 50 Jack Pines. The motion was passed unanimously. Roger Hohensee moved that Ralph Steyer be reimbursed $8.39 for extension cords and book binders and other moving expenses. The motion was carried unanimously.
